We Must Be Bold is a statement of intent. It’s a pulse, a purpose, a possibility. It promises us that though the future is uncertain, there are truths that are constant and clear –

We. It points us towards something bigger than ourselves.

Must. It reminds us that some things simply aren’t optional.

Be. It encourages us to engage the world as our truest selves.

Bold. It brings us back to the best in each of us – confident, innovative, courageous.

We Must Be Bold is a call to engage. It reveals the truth that beyond our limited individual potential lies our infinite collective possibility. It asks us to act on those aspirations. It points to a human need to connect, a need to contribute, a need to be part of a community. It requires the best of our energies. It opens space for conversations and storytelling that transforms us. It expects us to do the hard things, because they’re the right things. It is too urgent to ignore, or delay.

We Must Be Bold is a community design studio. It’s a proving ground for curators of connection and courageous organizations who are serious about seeing people and profits thrive. It’s a hub for innovative leaders and creative minds that believe technology and transactions will never be enough to sustain us. And, it’s an experimental space where we can dig in to uncover new truths and risk the vulnerable messiness of humanity to create something truly transformative together. When we catch a glimpse of possibility, when we commit to each other, there’s only one thing left to say...

Services

 Insight & Intention 
(01)

Before you consider community design, it is absolutely essential to explore who you are, what you believe and who you aspire to be – as individuals and organizations. Where other organizations seek to create community, we work to reveal it.

To do this well, our team commits to a 1-2 month exploration for insight and intentions. This often includes deep work on values, mission, current and aspirational relationships of influence, community story and potential moonshots.
 Strategic Engagement 
(02)

Communities don’t just happen. They require planning, preparation, direction and contingencies and an invitation. We partner with organizations that are prepared to invest time and resources in identifying, defining and launching their unique moonshot with and through community.

To do this well, our team commits to a 2-4 month engagement of discovery and design. This includes the development of trajectories of success including identity, narrative, community structure and  defining experiences.
 Community Design 
(03)

Working from four community pillars – identity, narrative, structure and experience, our team of citizen rebels knows our work is done when we’ve launched a moonshot community that authentically and actively creates space for deep and generative connection.

To do this well, we commit to a 6-8 month journey of discovery, design and mission control support for our partner organization. This often includes recruiting and training the internal mission crew for the moonshot. This work is always ambitious and aspirational, much like our clients.
